With years of experience in the kitchen, in front of the camera and penning cookbooks- Luca Ciano is one of the most well known Northern Italian chefs in Australia.
The brief for Luca was to create a gelato that takes him back to his childhood, and he has delivered with the best gelato version of a chocolate pudding that you will taste! The addition of rum and amaretti biscuits adds extra flavour and some crunch, this is one flavour you won’t want to miss.
‘The classic Bonet Piemontese brings me back to my childhood memories. This delicious dark chocolate decadent dessert comes from the Northern Italian region of Piedmont from a nearby area where my father was born. I grew up in Milan and every second weekend went we went to visit my grandparents from Dad’s side of the family. Bonet was always on the menu……. It’s such a simple classic dessert that suits all occasions. As soon as I became a chef and learnt how to cook it I haven’t stop making it. One of my personal all time favs!’
